So I was having a conversation with my mom the other day. They all came over on Sunday night for dinner and our Valentines Party, hehe. Yes, we go overboard...gifts and little things for eachother. It's fun. Her and I were cleaning the kitchen after dinner, and I was loading the dishwasher.
Me: So did I tell you that my friend Kelli is pregnant again?
Mom: Aww, really? When is she due?
Me: October 1st.
Mom: Wow, that was fast.
Me: Yeah.
Mom: Was it a surprise, or did they plan it so close?
Me: They planned it. They wanted another baby close in age to James. They were trying for a whole month.
Mom: Aw, that is probably what will happen for you guys. Once you start trying, it'll probably happen faster than you think it will.
Me: No mom, it won't.
Mom: Well, you never know...it could happen. That's what happened to Lyn. She had that fertility stuff and then after she had the twins, she got pregnant on her own right afterwards.
Me: (pointedly) No mom, that isn't going to happen for us.
Mom: Oh. Oh... so... it's already not been happening...?
Me: Yup.
Mom: Oh. Here, let me finish up the pots and pans for you.
I guess since moms can't fix your infertility, they will do the pots and pans for you. Thanks mom.
